I sat down tonight and started thinking about Emily. I started wondering what word I would use to describe this amazing young woman. The word that I kept coming to was kind. It seems so basic a word. Simple really. But there are very few people I know that can truly exhibit this word. In all the years I’ve known Emily, I can’t think of an instance where she wasn’t doing something friendly and considerate for someone. She’s just a genuinely great woman and I know that each person who comes into her life is going to be blessed by this kindness she embodies. How lucky I am to have had so many moments, so many memories, so many laughs with her. Congratulations Emily, I love you very much and you have grown up to be such a lovely young woman.
