I love taking photographs, but it’s not the only creative thing I love. Art teacher by day…photographer by ever other minute of the day. There’s a sad truth to being an art teacher though: we just don’t get to be that creative. Oh yes, I can collage together a Picasso using loads of construction paper and a few dots of Elmer’s glue with just about any student. And I get so many opportunities to be creative with a camera in hand! However, actually sitting down to paint something of my own takes active purpose on my part. So to my delight on the dreary Sunday I cuddled up on a blanket and started to paint. No steps, no demonstrations, just me and a brush. And of course, I double-teamed the creativity since my camera was close by.
Can I see the finished product??:)
Sure sweetheart. 🙂
