The Dwyers

I’ve been waiting for this wedding since April and it did not disappoint! You might remember me gushing about John and Carlie a few months back after I had an AMAZING engagement session with them (see it here). The gushing is going to continue today because their wedding was the perfect end to my 2017 wedding season. My husband, John, can attest to the fact that I have been waiting and talking about this wedding since the first day I met these two back in April. He even attended our final bridal consultation at Lifted Spirits because he wanted to meet this couple that I has spent SO much time talking about. Now we both agree about just how special they are.

John and Carlie’s wedding day was met with fog and rain, but trust me when I say nothing could dampen their love for each other. The whole morning was spent in cheerful expectation of seeing each other for the first time. And even though the clouds broke with rain right before the first look, Carlie and John were like two kids on Christmas morning when they finally got to be together. They literally did a little dance when they saw each other!

Speaking of dancing, their reception wins for having the best dancing I have ever witnessed. I knew it would be spectacular because both John and Carlie are professional dancers. But I seriously underestimated what I would witness when they told me they had something “choreographed”. Not only did John and Carlie have a spectacular first dance, but they also had special dances planned with their parents which brought the whole crowd to their feet!

John and I are so thankful that we got to be a part of this wedding and spend time with John and Carlie. We are also completely endeared to their families. I will never forget the hugs, conversation, and laughs that we shared throughout the day. I will also never forget how they affectionately referred to me as “Jenny B.”. You all have such a special place in my heart and I hope our paths continue to cross in the future. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer! We hope you enjoy some of our favorite pictures from your day.
