Do you ever have that friend who you keep running into throughout different phases of life? Emily would be that person to me. I first met Emily when we about eight years old. We ended up on the same soccer league and our friendship grew over soccer goals and sport trophies. The league ended and Emily disappeared from life for awhile. A little more than a decade later she and I ran into each other at KU and started to piece together the puzzle of how we knew one another. I feel like we might have shared a course together, but even that seems like a blur now. We’ve since solidified our friendship on social media so we can keep tabs on one other from here on out. And I’m so glad we have! I’ve had the pleasure of taking part in and photographing Emily’s Calligraphy Workshop. And now I’ve also had the chance to put her lovely family in front of my camera. I had such a great afternoon hanging out with both Emily and Andrew plus their boys. Carter kept me on my toes as he soon learned that I was out to capture him on camera and Beckett couldn’t help but get smiley with me as I snapped some photos. Thanks so much for letting me spend some time with your great family!
