Emily F.

I first met Emily when she was in elementary. She had been attending a summer program that I was teaching art for. She was as smart as a whip, sassy, cute as can be, and of course, jokingly gave me a hard time as her teacher. Some years passed and our paths crossed again. This time I was a youth leader and she was one of “my girls”. She had grown up some, but some of my favorite things about her had not changed…her ability to make my sides hurt from laughter…and her ability to keep up with my sarcasm. Emily is the kind of girl you want as a friend. She literally brightens a room when she is there. It is hard to believe that now she is a senior in high school. Nearly ready to spread her wings and find an adventure out in the world. Just like history has shown us, I’m hoping that our paths will continue to cross throughout our lives.
